Ramin Akhavan, MD


Board-Certified Anesthesiologist | Critical Care & Neurocritical Care Specialist


Dr. Ramin Akhavan is a board-certified physician specializing in Anesthesiology, Critical Care Medicine, and Neurocritical Care. As one of the leading critical care providers with over 15 years of experience caring for critically ill patients, he is recognized for his clinical excellence, leadership, and commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.  Dr. Akhavan also serves as the Chief of Staff and Director of ICU at Corona Regional Medical Center.


Dr. Akhavan earned his Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology and Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego, before obtaining his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Virginia. He completed his Anesthesiology residency at the University of California, Irvine, followed by a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center.


He currently serves as Director of the Intensive Care Unit at Corona Regional Medical Center and is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of California, San Diego. In his role, he collaborates with top lung health professionals and pulmonary specialists to provide comprehensive care. Throughout his career, he has held leadership and intensivist positions at several leading Southern California hospitals, caring for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.

Ali Farokh, MD, FCCP


Board-Certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine & Internal Medicine | Interventional Pulmonologist


Dr. Ali Farrokh is a board-certified pulmonologist and interventional pulmonologist with extensive experience in diagnosing and treating complex pulmonary and critical care conditions. As one of the leading critical care providers, he is board certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Internal Medicine. Dr. Farrokh is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each patient's individual needs.


He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and has been practicing for over a decade. Dr. Farrokh is affiliated with several leading Southern California hospitals, including Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center and Corona Regional Medical Center. His clinical expertise encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of asthma, COPD, pneumonia, sleep apnea, insomnia, lung diseases, and other complex pulmonary conditions, as well as advanced interventional pulmonary procedures.


Known for his patient-centered approach, Dr. Farrokh collaborates with lung health professionals to ensure patients receive the best care possible. He is dedicated to helping patients improve their respiratory health and overall quality of life through comprehensive evaluations, advanced treatment options, and personalized care. Lien-Khuong Tran, MD


Board-Certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine & Internal Medicine | Sleep Medicine


Dr. Lien-Khuong Tran completed her internal medicine residency and pulmonary/critical care fellowship in New York, followed by a sleep medicine fellowship in Illinois. As a dedicated pulmonary specialist and critical care provider, she is trained in managing a variety of pulmonary diseases and caring for critically ill patients in the ICU. However, her main passion lies in sleep medicine, and she hopes to improve the lives of her patients who are experiencing sleep disorders.


In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her family, playing with her dog, or curling up with a good book.

Anna Wilson MSN, ACNP

Nurse Practitioner


Anna Maria Wilson, MSN, ACNP, has been a nurse practitioner since 2005, dedicated to comprehensive, patient-centered care. She earned a post-master’s certificate from the UCLA School of Nursing and holds a master’s degree in Nursing Education. She brings extensive experience in patient care and education, with clinical expertise in cardiology, pulmonology, and internal medicine. Anna is currently pursuing certification in functional medicine a holistic, evidence-informed approach to health and wellness. She was nominated as a  nurse co host candidate for  The Dr. Oz Show, highlighting her clinical expertise and communication skills. She is committed to collaborative care, working closely with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal health outcomes and empower patients through education and personalized treatment planning.

Dhiren Patel MSN, FNP

Dhiren Patel is a dedicated Master of Science Nurse Practitioner whose passion for healthcare shines through a commitment to integrity, compassion, and respect. With a rich background in critical care nursing and advanced clinical practice, Dhiren brings both expertise and empathy to every patient interaction, aiming to improve lives with thoughtful, high-quality care.

Graduating summa cum laude with a Master of Science in Nursing from United States University and achieving board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Dhiren has excelled academically and professionally. As a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, he takes pride in managing various diseases and disorders affecting pulmonary health. His experience ranges from managing critical patients in high-intensity intensive care units, addressing acute and worsening pulmonary diseases throughout hospital settings, to managing chronic conditions and promoting health to improve patient quality of life. At the forefront of pulmonary-critical care, he seamlessly blends clinical acumen with a patient-centered approach, ensuring safety, dignity, and support in the most complex medical situations. Dhiren provides empathetic, personalized, evidence-based care to improve not only patients' pulmonary health but also their overall quality of life. Beyond hospital and clinic walls, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching football and MMA, training, and practicing yoga meditation. As a local to the Corona area, his volunteer work demonstrates genuine dedication to community health. Looking ahead, Dhiren aspires to continue serving his community and pursue his passion for enhancing patient education on health promotion.
